I’m not sure this is really “breaking” or even “news” because everyone knew this was coming, but sources are telling me that Oliva plans on adding the Cain F Nub to the regular production line, joining the Cain Nub as the hybrid of recently departed Sam Leccia’s signature creations. The Cain F Nub had been part of Sam’s nationwide tours, but with his departure and the creation of Studio Tobac, it finally will become a staple in retail shelves. The more likely reason is that it would seem odd to have both the Cain F Lancero and the Cain F Nub as event exclusives. I don’t know about pricing, but I’d expect it to be the most expensive item in the Nub line, although not too much more. The plan is for these to be in retailers in January of 2011, a month that will surely bring a lot of surprises to the cigar world.

As for the other project, the Cain Daytona, I have no clue when that will hit shelves, (Update, the link to the left has the info on the Cain Daytona, as Ian wrote below, we reported that the new release would be out in March.) but the Studio Tobac tour starts February March 2011, which would be my guess.

Update: Via Dave Wagner, cigars ship this week to retailers with a limit of two boxes per vitola per store. MSRP: 4×60 ($7.10) & 4×64 Torpedo ($7.50).
