At the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, CLE Cigar Co. held a private party that celebrated the 50th birthday of Christian Eiroa, the company’s founder. During that event, the company surprised Eiroa and guests with a unique cigar.

That’s because this year marks not only Eiroa’s 50th birthday but also the 10th anniversary of CLE. In trying to figure out how to celebrate, Raul Flores and Flavia Salzano Scott—both in CLE’s marketing department—thought of combining the two numbers into a single cigar. Without Eiroa’s knowledge, they asked the company’s factory in Honduras to make a special cigar that measures 10 inches long with a ring gauge of 50.

As noted by our coverage of the CLE booth at PCA 2022, it was intended to be just as a gift for Eiroa and guests of the party. But a number of the retailers in attendance—there were roughly 70 that attended the party—wanted to be able to sell the cigar and now they will get a chance.

The Eiroa 50/10 will ship to stores next week. It has an MSRP of $30 per cigar and is limited to 600 boxes of nine cigars. Only retailers that were in attendance at the party are able to purchase the cigar.

CLE is not disclosing the blend of the cigar, which is made at CLE’s factory in Danlí, Honduras.
