E.P. Carrillo To Release 5th Anniversary Cigar This Fall
E.P. Carrillo will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this year with a new limited edition release that is slated to be released in the fall.
It will be a single vitola release, a 6 1/2 x 54 toro that will use an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Ecuadorian Corojo ’99 binder and three Nicaraguan varietals in the filler.
Only 3,000 ten-count boxes are being released, with single stick prices slated to have an MSRP of $8.50 per cigar. It is expected that the new cigar will be on display in the company’s booth at this month’s IPCPR Convention and Trade Show kicking off July 19th in Las Vegas, Nev., but it is unclear in exactly what form as the company has not released pictures of the cigar nor has it announced a formal name for the project. A company representative told halfwheel that it is expected to be in store by October.
Like all of EPC’s releases, it will be made at the company’s Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic.
This celebratory release joins the INCH C-99 and La Historia lines as the company’s announced new releases for the trade show. The company also recently announced a new 60-ring gauge sampler called Tuxedo Edition that includes new 60-ring gauge vitolas of the Cardinal and E-Stunner lines. It has been confirmed that both of those cigars will become regular production sizes in the future.
