Drew Estate has released a new version of its Chateau Real line, which it has created as an exclusive release for Cigars International.

The blend of the Chateau Real Habano uses a habano-seed wrapper of undisclosed origin, an Indonesian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the United States. The wrapper is said to add an earthy and robust flavor, which is balanced by the sweet undertones of the binder.

The cigars are produced at La Gran Fábrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua and offered in three sizes:

  • Chateau Real Habano Churchill (7 x 50) — $7 (Box of 20, $139.95)
  • Chateau Real Habano Toro (6 x 50) — $6.75 (Box of 20, $134.95)
  • Chateau Real Habano Robusto (5 x 50): $6.50 (Box of 20, $129.95)

The original Chateau Real line was introduced in 2006 as one of Drew Estate’s first attempts to make a non-infused line. It was eventually discontinued but returned in November 2023 as an exclusive for online retailers, using a Connecticut shade wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It is available in the same three sizes as the Chateau Real Habano. Previously, a maduro version was also available but it remains discontinued.

The Chateau Real Habano is now available via Cigars International.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
