Drew Estate’s Barn Smoker events will return in 2021.
After canceling its events last year due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the company has announced the Barn Smokers will return with a few changes for 2021. The two most notable changes are that the Connecticut and Florida Barn Smokers—which the company says are its most well-attended events—will be spread over two days in order to reduce the total number of people on the farm each day. Additionally, the company is not hosting events in Louisana and Pennsylvania, which it has done in prior years.
The 2021 Barn Smoker line-up is:
- Connecticut Barn Smoker (South Windsor, Conn.) — Aug. 14-15, 2021
- Kentucky Barn Smoker (Hopkinsville, Ky.) — Oct. 9, 2021
- Florida Barn Smoker (Clermont, Fla.) — Nov. 13-14, 2021
Each event is held on a tobacco farm in one of three states, all of which supply tobacco to Drew Estate. Drew Estate’s Jonathan Drew, Willy Herrera and Pedro Gomez attend each event. Guests are taken through the tobacco growing and aging process at a working tobacco farm. The event features a tour of the tobacco facilities, exclusive cigars, lunch and a raffle that benefits Cigars for Warriors.
This year, there are three different ticket levels this year, which are already on sale.
- General Admission — $100
- VIP — $150
- VIP Plus Dinner — $195
Each ticket includes entrance for one person into the event, swag and 10 cigars. VIP tickets include those perks, plus the ability to attend a breakfast the day of the event and early access; additionally, the regular swag is replaced by VIP swag. The VIP Plus Dinner ticket includes the VIP perks plus a dinner the night before the first event and tickets to both days of events.
“Last year was tough for everybody and we all missed celebrating American tobacco, smoking and having a drink together… but 2021 is going to prove that we are all unbeaten and unbowed,” said Jonathan Drew, Drew Estate’s co-founder, in a press release. “This year’s Barn Smokers will have a bit more special meaning than before because we’re finally going be together again in #fellowship after a long period of isolation. I’m excited to bond with everyone and raise money for our Cigars For Warriors peeps.”
