The second of Davidoff’s Masterpiece Humidor Series 2020 collection will begin shipping next month.

Many of the basic details of Masterpiece Humidor Series 2020 II are the same as Masterpiece Humidor Series 2020 I. They are both $15,000 humidors, they both measure 21.65 inches x 14 inches x 7 inches, they both come with 50 special cigars, they both are limited to eight units and they both are being designed by Rose Saneuil.

Masterpiece Humidor Series 2020 II uses three species of woods on the exterior—Macassar, sycamore and vavona—as well as gold leaf, tobacco leaves, mother of pearl and parchment. The tobacco leaves are from the 1994 harvest. For this release, Saneuil focused on three dimensions of time: time as the ultimate luxury, the limitation of time and when time seems to stand still.

The Davidoff Masterpiece 2020 is a 6 x 52 toro that uses a five-year-old Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a seven-year-old Ecuadorian 702 binder. While the cigars are the same, the secondary bands are actually different between the two releases. Both secondary bands show designs similar to the humidors.

Inside are five Dominican fillers:

  • Hybrid 192 volado, aged eight years
  • Piloto Ligero, aged seven years
  • San Vicente ligero, aged six years
  • San Vicente seco, aged eight years
  • Yamasá viso, aged 13 years

Each humidor will come with 50 cigars.

It will begin shipping to select stores next month.
