Retailers that are customers of Davidoff of Geneva USA can now place orders 24/7 directly from the company using its new B2B customer portal.

The portal, which is part of Davidoff’s ACCESS program, allows retailers to not only place orders but also to see purchasing history and other metrics, support history and order status updates. Davidoff’s hope is that by allowing customers to place orders whenever they like, Davidoff will not only increase sales but also allow its sales representatives to focus on things other than taking orders when at a customer’s store. This could include education, events, merchandising or strategy—things that are much more difficult to do virtually.

“Our Davidoff ACCESS program is now starting its third year with much of the groundwork laid with a comprehensive CRM for our commercial team and over the past year with enhanced trade marketing and education programs,” said Dylan Austin, president of Davidoff of Geneva USA, in a press release. “This next step takes our company into B2B omni-channel commerce with a full 360-degree view over all interactions and transactions. As the leading commercial and marketing team in the US premium cigar industry, driving consistent incremental value for our business partners across all touchpoints is a critical focus. Our transition from analog management of commerce to an integrated digital ecosystem, further reinforces the incremental value we expect to expand on when engaging face-to-face with business partners.”

While many cigar companies have digitized parts of their ordering process, these types of portals remain relatively rare though companies like Altadis U.S.A., Padrón and others have had a B2B portal for years.
