Davidoff’s Vault program will get its next release this Friday when the company launches the Davidoff Limited Edition Gusto Toro.
The single size 6 x 52 toro is described as medium-body release made to live up to the word gusto.
As for the blend, it uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper and four different Dominican fillers: hybrid 133 viso from Yamasá, piloto Damajagua, piloto Volao and San Vicente mejorado.
Pricing is set at $320 per bundle of 10 and it is described as “extremely limited.”
“Davidoff Master Blender Eladio Diaz is consistently challenging himself to create new journeys of cigar enjoyment,” says the Davidoff website. “For some time, these journeys have developed to become a part of his Private Collection. To develop these blends, Eladio looks for inspiration from many avenues. The word ‘Gusto’, in both the English and Spanish language translates to enjoyment and intensity.”
The Vault program was launched last year as part of the company’s ACCESS program, which also includes personalization and hospitality options at the company’s stores. Vault is a way for Davidoff to release older cigars, as well as some small production limited editions such as Gusto. This is the first time that the Vault program will get exclusive cigars that have previously not been released.
Sales are limited online and in Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagships in the U.S. Online sales will begin at 10 a.m. EDT on Friday, though customers must be registered in Davidoff’s ACCESS program to purchase the cigars.
