Czevitrum, a Czech company that specializes in handblown glass lamps, bowls and other accessories has released its collection of glass ashtrays to the U.S., making its debut at the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show by way of an appearance in the Dapper Cigar Co. booth.

For its line of cigar ashtrays, the company took inspiration from the face of a salamander, and as such the products are known as the Salamander ashtray. Each piece is handblown, which means that each piece is truly unique. The company takes pride on the ashtray’s unconventional design as well as its ability to be a function and decorative interior element.

The company offers two size options, large and small, both offered in five colors. The larger version has a diameter of just under 9.5 to 13 inches and a height of four to six inches, and weighs between 5.5 to 11 pounds, while the smaller version has a diameter of five to six inches and a height of three to four inches, weighing between one to 4.5 pounds.

The large version is offered in amber, smoke, red, blue and gold, while the small size is available in amber, smoke, green, white and gold. In addition, the company is planning to release an black on black option as well as a black and gold option.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
