It’s been a long time coming, and in one case a longer time coming, but Crux cigars is finally shipping du Connoisseur and Sports.

du Connoisseur is a tribute to the Partagás Série du Connaisseur and such the three-vitola line consists of three small ring gauge cigars. The du Connoisseur uses a Nicaraguan habano wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaraguan binder and filler from Honduras. It is being offered in three vitolas—du Connoisseur #1 (7 1/2 x 38, $9.99), du Connoisseur #2 (6 1/2 x 38, $8.99) and the du Connoisseur #3 (5 5/8 x 35, $7.50)—each in boxes of 10.

It was originally slated to be due out in October, but production delays forced the company to revise their estimate.

As for Sports, the 4 5/8 x 35 petit corona was shown off at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show and originally scheduled to arrive that year. Once again, production delays forced Crux to wait for the cigar to arrive.

Crux Cigars Sports

It also uses a Nicaraguan habano wrapper from Jalapa, Indonesian binder and filler from Nicaragua. Sports retails for $3.75 and is sold in boxes of 30.

Both cigars are produced at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
