Most cigarmakers would prefer not to make 6 x 60 cigars save for one reason: they sell.

Add Crowned Heads to that list.

At next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the company will add the Luminosa Gigantes LE 2018, a 6 x 60 version of its Connecticut line.

“The decision to release a 6 x 60 cigar was not an easy one,” said Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, in a press release. “Personally, I prefer smaller ring gauge vitolas, and tend to lean towards traditional petit coronas, coronas and corona gordas, as my sweet spot has always been in the 42-48 ring gauge range. That said, the Luminosa Gigante LE is more about Crowned Heads responding to a market demand than our personal preference of cigars and vitolas. We owe so much of what we do to those that’ve supported us over the past seven years, and this is our way of saying, ‘we are listening.'”

The Luminosa Gigantes LE 2018 is limited to 2,000 boxes of 12 cigars.

Crowned Heads soft launched the Luminosa in late 2016 before releasing the line as a full production item last year. It uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over an undisclosed binder and filler combination.
