The largest Luminosa is on its way to stores.

Crowned Heads has begun shipping the 6 x 60 version of its Luminosa blend, aptly called Luminosa Gigantes LE 2018. As the name implies, the release is both large—a gordo size—and limited, just 2,000 boxes of 12 cigars.

“The decision to release a 6 x 60 cigar was not an easy one,” said Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, in a press release when the cigar was announced. “Personally, I prefer smaller ring gauge vitolas, and tend to lean towards traditional petit coronas, coronas and corona gordas, as my sweet spot has always been in the 42-48 ring gauge range. That said, the Luminosa Gigante LE is more about Crowned Heads responding to a market demand than our personal preference of cigars and vitolas. We owe so much of what we do to those that’ve supported us over the past seven years, and this is our way of saying, ‘we are listening.’”

Luminosa uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over an undisclosed binder and filler combination. Production is being handled by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A.
