The Eiroa Jamastran is off to stores.

Christian Eiroa of CLE Cigar Co. announced that his company would begin shipping its latest line, a two-size brand named after the area of Honduras where his family has been growing tobaccos for over 50 years. As such, it should come as no surprise that the line is a Honduran puro.

  • Eiroa Jamastran Robusto (5 x 50) — $15.50 (Box of 18, $279)
  • Eiroa Jamstran 11/18 (6 1/4 x 52/60) — $16.50 (Box of 18, $297)

The Jamastran Robusto will be offered to all accounts while the 11/18 figurado size will only be offered to retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

This year 12 companies released new exclusives for TAA stores: A.J. FernándezCLE, Crowned HeadsE.P. Carrillo, General Cigar Co.J.C. Newman, Joya de NicaraguaLa Flor DominicanaLa Palina, My FatherNat Sherman and Tatuaje.
