Next month, Cavalier Genève will release a limited run of a new vitola for its Black II line.

The Cavalier Genève Black Series II Limited Release Supremos is a 4 3/4 x 58 robusto gordo size. It uses a modified version of the regular Black Series II blend, though the blend components are still the same: a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Cavalier says that the normal blend uses filler leaves only from the viso priming, whereas the new blend uses both ligero and visos. In theory, this should make this vitola stronger than the regular version.

Each cigar has an MSRP of $14 and production is limited to 500 boxes of 15 cigars. The cigars are expected to ship in November.

This release is part of Cavalier’s Limited Release Series, which sees the company releasing new vitolas for its regular production lines in a one-and-done fashion. Last year, Cavalier released a 6 1/4 x 48 vitola for its White Series line as part of the Limited Release Series.
