Earlier this year, E.P. Carrillo premiered its Essence Series, a collection of six blends designed to showcase different wrappers. This third line prominently features Honduran tobacco, and is also made in the Central American country.

The E.P. Carrillo Sumatra is part of the company’s new Essence Series. Eventually, it will include six different blends, all focused on a different wrapper.

The second vitola—and third release—in E.P. Carrillo’s limited Pledge of Allegiance line is a 6 3/4 x 64 salomon. It was limited to kist 248 boxes, which references the number of years since the founding of the United States.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. celebrated his 70th birthday in 2021, with the accompanying cigar selected by consumers the following year and released in 2023. After a year of rest, a revisitation of the E.P. Carrillo Platinum Bash hopes to see improvement after a less-than-ideal first impression.

E.P. Carrillo kicked up its Perez-Carrillo Encore line by focusing on a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper and updating the supporting blend.

This cigar was made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cigars Direct, a Tampa-based retailer.

It’s an E.P. Carrillo cigar made by Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. Yes, you read that right.

Consumers were invited to select the cigar that would be released in celebration of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s 70th birthday, and this was the winning selection.

The Allegiance line marks the first time that an E.P. Carrillo-branded release has been produced at a factory of other than Tabacalera La Alianza S.A.

There have been more than a half dozen different INCH blends released over the years, but the INCH Nicaragua is the first one to be made outside of E.P. Carrillo’s own factory in the Dominican Republic. For this release, Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí is making the line.

For the 2022 installment of the Short Run line, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo returns to tobacco coming from a country that he hasn’t used in a blend in 14 years.
