At this week’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Casa 1910 will add two new lines to its portfolio as well as a new size of its Teirra Blanca line.

There is a new El Ebano, named after Ébano, a city near Mexico’s eastern coast. Casa 1910 has used the Mexican Revolution as the inspiration for many of its brands; in 1915, there was a famous battle in Ébano. As for the blend, the company has said little about the cigar other than it will “highlight the rich tradition of Mexican tobacco.”

It will be offered in two sizes:

  • Casa 1910 El Ebano Robusto (5 x 50) — $13.50 (Box of 10, $135)
  • Casa 1910 El Ebano Toro Extra (6 x 54) — $15 (Box of 10, $150)

The other new line is called Mexigars, which Casa 1910 says will be its affordable option, packaged in bundles. The company says that these cigars “encapsulate the essence of Mexico, using diverse seeds, tobaccos, and fermentations to create unique flavor profiles.” The first two releases are:

  • Casa 1910 Mexigars MX-1 (6 x 52) — $9.90 (Bundle of 25, $247.50)
  • Casa 1910 Mexigars MX-2 (6 x 52) — $9.90 (Bundle of 25, $247.50)

Blend-wise, both cigars use only Mexican tobacco, though the varietals are different. The MX-1 uses a San Andrés negro Colorado maduro wrapper over a San Andrés negro binder with habano and San Andrés negro tobaccos in the filler. The MX-2 uses a Mexican habano wrapper over a San Andrés negro binder and “habano Mexico especial” and San Andrés negro fillers.

Casa 1910 says it will offer retailers a “Mexigars humidor” to be able to better display the cigars. The company says the Mexigars offerings will change over time.

Finally, the Casa 1910 Tierra Blanca will be getting a second size: a 5 x 50 robusto priced at $14.50 per cigar. The Tierra Blanca line was introduced last year, debuting in a lone 6 x 54 toro size. Blend-wise, it uses Mexican San Andrés negro tobacco, highlighted by a five-year-old wrapper. It is made at an undisclosed factory in Mexico.

Casa 1910 says the cigars will ship in late May, though the company previously stated they would ship on June 24.
