Two years ago, Brizard & Co. unveiled a new collection of cigar accessories called Positano, which is inspired by classic Riva boats and the colors of the Amalfi Coast. While the collection debuted with a humidor as part of the offerings, the company recently added a second one that is much smaller and designed for a number of applications.

It’s called the Mini Airflow Humidor, and can hold up to 15 cigars, depending upon the size of those cigars. The company says it can serve as a first humidor, or to store cigars where space may be tight and a larger number of cigars isn’t needed. It can also serve as a humidor dedicated to a special collection of cigars, as it is designed to allow for “exceptional air circulation and humidity diffusion,” according to the company.

The humidor is made in the USA from a collection of exotic woods including African mahogany, with turquoise Italian leather wrapping the humidor, chrome hinges, and boat cleats in place of traditional handles.

It is designed to be humidified with Boveda products, and includes a low profile receptacle for a Boveda pack that was specially made out of solid cedar with an inlaid aluminum screen. That receptacle connects to the lid of the humidor via magnets.

The Brizard & Co. Mini Airflow Humidor Positano Collection measures 8.5 x 6.75 x 4 inches and is priced at $599.

The Mini Airflow Humidor joins the original Airflow Humidor, which measures 26 x 11.5 x 5.5 inches and can hold up to 150 cigars. That model is priced at $1,500. The Positano Collection also includes two lighters, a double guillotine cutter, a v-cutter, cigar cases, and a flask.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
