The next time you see some sizes of the Bocock Brothers World Traveler Connecticut and Habano lines on store shelves, it might just be in packaging that pays tribute to how it got to those shelves, as the company has released new cargo container display boxes for the line.

“Cargo containers are symbolic of the entrepreneurial spirit as well as long travels, and the Bocock Bros. are no strangers to either,” the company wrote in a press release. “The fact these stylish boxes are carrying the World Traveler collection speaks to the Bocock involvement in trade–travel–and adventure.”

The company is releasing the new packaging for the robusto and toro sizes of its World Traveler Connecticut and Habano lines. The robusto is priced at $10.50 in both lines, while the toro has an MSRP of $11 per cigar, with each size offered in boxes of 20 cigars.

The boxes are made in Honduras out of cedar and are currently available for retailers to order. That said, the traditional boxes that were shown off at the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show are still available for retailers to order, as the container boxes are designed for retail stores where shelf space might be an issue.

“What we do at Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars is an extension of who me and Doug [Bocock] are,” said Bryant Bocock, in a press release. “We travel the world, dealing with commodities and goods. I saw an opportunity with this design to reflect both that and supplying our valued retailers with their most important commodity–space.”

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
