Black Label Trading Co. Releases Second Batch of J.W. Marshall

Black Label Trading Co. has released the second batch of the J.W. Marshall, a cigar originally released one year ago today as an exclusive for Cigar Federation.

The cigar returns with the same specs that it debuted in, with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Nicaraguan habano binder and Nicaraguan ligero filler, rolled into a 5 1/2 x 52 robusto size at the company’s Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua.

“I am really excited the Vintage II of the JW Marshall is releasing today,” said Logan Lawler of Cigar Federation via a press release. “January 24th is more than just the date J.W. Marshall discovered gold in California; it is the date my mom was born and the date this project was conceptualized. To honor this date; the cigar is being released on January 24th.”

This release gets 25 more boxes produced than the first release, with 100 boxes of 10 cigars made, priced at $89.95 per box and available exclusively though the Cigar Federation store.

James Brown, owner of BLTC and Fabrica Oveja Negra, calls the J.W. Marshall “big and bold but very refined,” adding that “we are big fans of Cigar Federation and were excited to work with Logan on this project.”

An earlier version of this article stated that there were 75 boxes produced; this was based off incorrect information in the cigar’s press release and has since been corrected.
