Black Label Trading Co.’s cigars are coming to the United Kingdom, as the company has announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Tor Imports, Ltd.

“We are looking forward to expanding into the UK market with Tor Imports,” said James Brown, owner of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, via a press release. “They have demonstrated their dedication to representing Nicaraguan cigars and will be the perfect partners for our premium cigar brand. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting them at our factory in Nicaragua and sharing our passion for Nicaraguan tobacco. I look forward to meeting some of our existing consumers and meeting new ones next week when we launch the brand.”

As Brown mentioned, distribution is scheduled to begin next week.

“We are excited to welcome Black Label Trading Company to the UK,” said Scott Vines, managing director of Tor Imports, Ltd. in a press release. “Not only are their cigars great, but they are very different from anything else we’ve ever offered. We feel good that James Brown is coming over to the UK to help us launch them to the trade and to host consumer events across the country.”

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
