Effective Jan. 1, the minimum age to purchase tobacco in Bedford, Mass. will be 21.

The town’s Board of Health voted to raise the minimum age from 18 to 21 amongst other new tobacco regulations. Those include banning flavored tobacco products, including both e-cigarettes and blunt wraps. In addition, it will require all single cigars to retail for no less than $5.

Bedford is part of Middlesex County, about 15 miles northwest of Boston. It has a population under 15,000.
