Baton Rouge, La. Rejects Smoking Ban Expansion

Unlike New Orleans, smoking will remain legal in bars and casinos in Louisiana’s capital.

Last night the Baton Rouge voted 6-6 on a proposal that would have banned smoking in bars and casinos. Last year a similar measure was passed unanimously in New Orleans.

Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana, it has a population over 800,000 and is home to Louisiana State University.
