Atlantic Cigar Co. has just released a new, limited edition, store-exclusive size of the ADVentura The Royal Return Queen’s Pearls, offering the cigars in a box-pressed version of the original 6 x 44 corona vitola, which placed #3 on halfwheel’s Top 25 Cigars of 2020.

The new size keeps all the details of the original blend, meaning an Ecuadorian-grown, Connecticut-seed wrapper and binder, with fillers that come from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Nicaragua. What has changed is the addition of a box press for the cigar, as well as a secondary band indicating that it is exclusive to Atlantic Cigar Co.

“We are very happy with how this project came out,” Matthew Sieminski, director of operations at Atlantic Cigar Co., told halfwheel. “We feel that the 44 ring with the box press really changed the blend.”

Production is limited to 600 boxes of 10 cigars, with pricing set at $12.95 per cigar or $122.95 for a full box.

“Atlantic earned this by reaching the top tier from our elite account program,” said Nicole Knobel of ADV & McKay Cigar Co., adding that when stores reach that level, they can choose between receiving an exclusive vitola of an existing line, or creating an exclusive blend for the store.

The cigars are currently available for purchase.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
