The second of three new PCA 2023 Exclusive lines from CLE Cigar Co. is shipping to stores this week.

Christian Eiroa, founder of CLE, announced via Instagram that the Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 is now heading out to stores.

It’s one of three limited edition lines that the company showed off at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show that were only offered to retailers who placed orders during the trade show. Notably, the three lines share a number of similarities: all three are offered in the same four sizes that are priced the same, all three are each limited to 150 boxes per size and all three use tobacco from a new CLE farm in an unnamed South American country.

Beyond the aforementioned tobacco from a South American country, which is said to be used in both the binder and filler, the Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023’s blend is undisclosed. For context, the CLE PCA Exclusive 2023 uses an Ecuadorian shade wrapper, while the Eiroa PCA Exclusive 2023 uses a Honduran corojo wrapper.

There are four sizes offered:

  • Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 50X5 (5 x 50) — $17 (Box of 20, $340)
  • Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 11X18 (6 1/4 x 52/60) — $18 (Box of 20, $360)
  • Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 52X6 (6 x 52) — $18 (Box of 20, $360)
  • Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 60X6 (6 x 60) — $19 (Box of 20, $380)

The lid of the boxes is designed to also be used as an ashtray.

“The Asylum brand was made for those looking for extra strength in their smoking experience,” said Eiroa, co-founder of Asylum, in a press release when the cigar was announced. “This Asylum delivers and more. The combination of strength and flavor will offer a unique and satisfying smoking experience for the Asylum smoker. This unique flavor is born out of the tobacco from our new farm. The C.L.E Cigar Company will be very bullish going forward with this tobacco from our new South American farm.”

Earlier this week, the company announced that the Eiroa PCA 2023 Exclusive was shipping.
