Ashton has announced that it has moved its German distribution to M. K. & Söhne.

The move means that Ashton will continue to work with brothers Adam and Daniel Kohlhase. Previously, Ashton was distributed in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp, now known as Kopp Tobaccos GmbH & Co. Last summer, the brothers announced that they were leaving Kohlhase & Kopp after spending nearly three decades at the company. They launched M. K. & Söhne, whose team also includes their sister, Katharina.

“We are very pleased with the collaboration and the loyalty of the Levin family,” said the Kohlhase brothers in a press release. “There has been a close trust and flourishing business relationship between our families for decades.”

At this week’s InterTabac 2024 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany, Ashton will be in the M. K. & Söhne stand. The company says it expects to begin delivering Ashton cigars on Sept. 30. This includes the eponymous Ashton brand as well as La Aroma del Caribe and Paradiso. In the U.S., the latter brands are known as La Aroma de Cuba and San Cristobal. Due to trademarks, those two brands are sold under different names internationally.
