Less than a year after All Saints Cigars and Micallef Cigars entered into a joint sales agreement, the two companies have decided to end the unique relationship.

In August 2023, an agreement was put into place that All Saints’ cigars would be sold by Micallef’s sales team. Micky Pegg, co-owner of All Saints, was named the president of sales for Micallef. Pegg led a Micallef sales team of, at the time, seven people in the field while also selling products from All Saints.

“We express our deepest gratitude to Micky Pegg and Frank Layo at All Saints Cigars for their openness and willingness to engage in this innovative collaboration,” said Dan Thompson, president of Micallef Cigars, in a press release. “Their contributions have been invaluable, and we have all learned a great deal from this unique partnership.”

According to Cigar Coop, these agreements will come to an end by late June. Pegg will no longer be president of sales for Micallef and will return to focus solely on his duties as co-owner of All Saints.

“Our partnership has culminated in significant achievements, not least the positive reception at recent tradeshows,” said Pegg, in a press release. “The entire Micallef team has been supportive and flexible – a pleasure to work with. We reaffirm our commitment to all our retail partners and their continued prosperity.”

The transition will take place over the next 90 days, and both companies are expected to be operating separately by the end of June.

Amanda Micallef, vp of marketing for Micallef, said a press release would come later today but cited a 24-hour exclusivity window for Cigar Coop.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
