Alliance Cigar Co.’s roster of exclusives is continuing to grow as the company is preparing to welcome its fourth cigar under the DeSocio. The Alec Bradley Prensado DeSocio is the first non-parejo size of the DeSocio series, described as a 5 1/2 x 56 “Cuban-pressed belicoso.”

This is the second DeSocio from Alec Bradley, following the debut Tempus DeSocio. Last month, the company released the Oliva Serie V Melanio DeSocio, the third cigar in the series.

Once again, the initial run is slated for 500 boxes of 20 cigars. Tom Sullivan, head of Alliance Cigar, told halfwheel he expects the cigar in the coming weeks. Pricing is set at $9 per cigar and boxes at $180.

Sullivan told halfwheel he was proud that he was able to secure exclusive sizes from the lines that were awarded Cigar Aficionado’s number one cigar of the year in both 2011 and 2012. The Prensado won in 2011, the Flor de la Antillas won the following year. Over the summer, Alliance Cigar Co. received the Flor de las Antillas DeSocio from My Father Cigars.

This is the second non-parejo exclusive for the line, following the Prensado TAA Figurado made exclusively for members of the Tobacconists Association of America.

DeSocio is Sullivan’s maternal grandfather’s last name. His mother is the only living DeSocio family member so Sullivan decided to use his cigar business to keep the name alive.
