Alec Bradley has announced that it is expanding its Family Blend with a new series called “The Lineage.”
The line is made up of six vitolas all above 52 ring gauge, including three sizes with a ring gauge over 60. The 665 and 770 measure 6 x 65 and 7 x 70, while the gordo measures 6 x 60. Rounding out the line is a 5 1/4 x 52 robusto, 6 x 53 toro and 6 1/8 x 52 torpedo, the lone figurado of the group. Pricing has been reported as being between $6.75 and $9 per cigar.
The Lineage is being made at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras, home to the majority of Alec Bradley’s premium offerings, and will use a Honduran wrapper from the Trojes region, binder from Nicaragua and a filler comprised of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The line is expected to be at retail by the end of May.
It’s a nod to the sons of Alec and Bradley Rubin, sons of company founder Alan Rubin, to commemorate that they have both turned 18 and are now of legal age to smoke cigars in most states.
Details of the Alec Bradley Family Blend The Lineage were first reported on Cigar Aficionado.
