There are many large ring gauge cigars, there aren’t many that get into that triple digits for ring gauge.

AGANORSA Leaf is joining that rare club with a new vitola for its JFR Lunatic Maduro line, a 10 x 100 belicoso. Yes, 10 inches long by 100 ring gauge, more than 1.5 inches in diameter at the foot. Like the rest of the JFR Lunatic Maduro line, it uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí and Jalapa.

The 10 x 100 will have an MSRP of $39.99 per cigar and is limited to 2,500 cigars this year, though AGANORSA Leaf says it expects to offer the cigars annually. It is expected to ship this summer.

“When I joined Aganorsa over five years ago I was surprised we produced so many large ring gauge cigars,” said Terence Reilly, vp of sales and marketing for AGANORSA Leaf, in a press release. “Then I looked at the sales and realized there was tremendous market demand for them. That trend hasn’t changed and this cigar is proof of it.”

The company says this is the largest cigar it has ever produced. For those wondering, there have been even larger cigars produced and sold on a limited basis; in 2013, RoMa Craft Tobac released the CroMagnon Femur, which measured 10 x 133 1/3.
