ADV & McKay Cigars Co. to Release ADVentura The Chancellor at PCA 2024
At the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, there will be a new chapter added to the ADVentura story, as ADV & McKay Cigars Co. has announced that it will be releasing The Chancellor, which joins The Royal Return line and becomes the first release in a new project called the Elite Broker program.
The Chancellor’s blend features a corojo wrapper of undisclosed origin, a Dominican binder and a filler that uses Sumatra-seed tobacco. It is being offered in a 6 x 52 toro vitola, with production limited to a one-time run of 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars, a total of 20,000 cigars. Pricing is set at $18 per cigar.
“The back story of this line is one that we’re incredibly proud of, and revolves around our right-hand man: Adrian Acosta…The Chancellor is Adrian’s cigar,” said Marcel Knobel, co-founder of ADVentura Cigars, via a press release.
The Elite Broker program is being launched as a way to mirror the company’s Elite Account program, which allows retailers to obtain exclusive cigars and limited edition releases. In the case of the Elite Broker program, the company’s top salespeople can have the opportunity to create their own cigar line with Knobel and Henderson Ventura, the company’s co-founders.
“Adrian is not just any broker; he is a true believer in ADVentura and literally our right hand,” said Ventura in a press release. “He believes in us, even when we do not believe in ourselves.”
Acosta comes from a lineage rooted in tobacco, as his father specializes in tobacco seed germination, and some of the tobacco for the release comes from his dad’s projects. In addition to his work as a sales representative, Acosta is the co-founder of The Cigar Culture, an online cigar lifestyle community.
“First and foremost, I feel very happy for the outcome of this blend but, more importantly, to be part of the ADV team In the USA in the past 6 years,” Acosta said in a press release. “I also want to highlight, with this cigar we want to create harmony and a beautiful expression of what a great cigar is all about. We want to honor and salute our loyal ADV clients for supporting us after the fire in September 2022.”
He went on to say that The Chancellor promises those who smoke it “an unparalleled smoking experience, with a blend that balances complexity and smoothness.”
The cigars will begin shipping during the trade show, which happens March 23-25 in Las Vegas.
