The newest line from Crowned Heads will to stores, in full, next week.

Luminosa—which was previewed last year in two sizes—will begin shipping nationwide in four sizes and with slightly updated packaging.

It is the company’s first regular production Connecticut line, using an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over an undisclosed binder and filler combination. When Crowned Heads announced the brand, the company said it would ship two sizes—a Robusto and Toro—in limited fashion and then wait until 2017 to release the other sizes.

Those other two sizes are a Petite Corona and Churchill.

  • Luminosa Robusto (5 x 50) — $7.55 (Boxes of 20, $151)
  • Luminosa Toro (6 1/2 x 52) — $7.95 (Boxes of 20, $159)
  • Luminosa Petite Corona (4 1/2 x 44) — $5.95 (Boxes of 20, $119)
  • Luminosa Churchill (7 x 48) — $8 (Boxes of 20, $160)

Luminosa New Bands

In addition to the new sizes, the packaging has received a minor update. The bands now feature a bit more accenting, particularly in the center, and the boxes are a bit more intricate than before.

Luminosa is produced at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic.
