The doors are officially open at Casa de Montecristo by Prime Cigar Bar in Miami, Fla., bringing a new cigar and whiskey bar to the city’s Brickell neighborhood. It’s the second location for Prime Cigar Bar, joining the Boca Raton, Fla. location opened in 2010 by Jason Reznik and Ryan Leeds, and comes as part of a partnership with Tabacalera USA, which oversees the premium cigar division of Altadis U.S.A.

The new location features 4,700 square feet dedicated to fine cigars, quality spirits and the enjoyment of both. The space features a walk-in humidor, full bar that features exclusive and hard-to-find whiskeys, members’ lounge and private board room. There is also a vintage collector’s room which contains unique and vintage cigars.

The space is designed to optimize comfort, with a state-of-the-art air control system that can provide 80 tons of air conditioning and replaces 100 percent of the air in the lounge on a constant basis.

In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
