Tuesday, June 12, 2012 — We’re at it again! Last year we debuted the Chattanooga Tweet-Up with tons of cigars, spirits, baseball and cigar personalities and this year we have made it bigger and better in just about every way.
Make room on your calendar for the 2012 edition of the Chattanooga Tweet-Up, August 23, 24 and 25, 2012.
The festivities kick off early this year on Thursday evening, August 23, with Skip Martin hosting a special Pre-Tweet-Up event with RoMaCraft Tobacco, makers of CroMagnon, Acquitaine and Intemperance cigars.
Friday will feature plenty of herfing time from late morning through late afternoon, as well as a trip to AT&T Field in the evening to see the Chattanooga Lookouts minor league baseball team.
Saturday will feature even more herfing time, a raffle of tons of prizes, dinner, a tasting of Tennessee-based spirits (including Chattanooga Whiskey Company’s 1816 Reserve), dinner, and the after-party at Envy Ultra Lounge, sponsored by Burns Downtown and Nat Sherman Cigars.
Throughout the weekend you’ll have plenty of time to meet and talk with great cigar legends and legends-in-the-making like Pete Johnson (Tatuaje), Matt Booth (Room 101), Jon Huber and Mike Conder (Crowned Heads), Eddie Ortega (Ortega Cigars), Gary Griffith (Emilio Cigars), Clint Aaron (262 Cigars), Sean Williams (El Primer Mundo), Steven Ysidron (Del Fuego), Nada and Jeff Jumper (Nadi Cigars), Frank Herrera (Herrera Cigars), Dave Lafferty (Drew Estate), Michael Herklots (Nat Sherman), Jason Wood and Barry Stein (Miami Cigar & Company), Wayne Suarez (A. Fuente Cigars) and a member of the Padron family.
There will be a total of 300 tickets available, for $45 pre-sale and $50 at the door (if any are left). The ticket price includes a selection of cigars from our many sponsors, an event t-shirt, 1 raffle ticket, a Discount Card (good for discounts at Burns Tobacconist throughout the weekend), Saturday dinner, and the liquor tasting. Baseball game tickets are $20 (limited to 150 tickets) and include admission, plus unlimited hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, ice cream and sodas from the buffet, as well as $1 Draft Beer through the 7th inning.
