Viaje has announced that it will soon send a pair of Christmas-themed cigars to its retailers, the Holiday Blend Candy Cane and the Farmer Bill Hatchet Holiday Edition.

The Viaje Holiday Blend Candy Cane is a barberpole cigar that debuted in 2012 as an offshoot of the Holiday Blend, which dates back to 2009. The company has not yet confirmed the specifics on this year’s blend, but previous editions have been offered in a 6 x 54 toro vitola. The blend has changed over the years, though the company has not disclosed specifics about this year’s blend.

The Viaje Farmer Bill Hatchet Holiday Edition is a more recent addition to the portfolio, debuting in 2021. Again, specifics about this year’s release have not been announced by the company, but it has previously been a 6 x 54 toro extra, and is offered in 25-count bundles that are presented in four different wrapping paper prints. The company has not disclosed anything about the blend, other than that it is a distinct blend from the other Farmer Bill Hatchet releases, which debuted in 2014 as an offshoot to the company’s Thanksgiving-themed Stuffed Turkey cigars. Since then, the line has grown to include a Zombie Farmer Bill Hatchet and a Mrs. Hatchet release.

Pricing for the Viaje Holiday Blend Candy Cane is set at $11.50 per cigar, while the Farmer Bill Hatchet Holiday Edition is priced at $12. Both of the cigars will begin shipping on Dec. 11.

Update — Shortly after this article was published, pricing was confirmed by the company and added to the story.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
