Two of Viaje’s previous releases will be returning for 2017.

First up is Birthday Blend, a cigar that debuted last year. It’s listed at the same 6 x 52 dimensions, though it’s unclear if this year’s version will also be a belicoso like the original. The wrapper is criollo 98, which is different from last year’s blend, which used a Mexican San Andrés cover leaf.

Production appears to be limited to 400 boxes of 25 cigars based on the labels on the front of the boxes. Last year, Viaje said it would introduce unique packaging for the line, it’s unclear whether this is what was intended. The bundle of cigars is wrapped in wrapping paper, though it still bares White Label Project branding.

One other change is the 25-count boxes. Last year, the cigars were packaged 38 to a box, in honor of Viaje founder Andre Farkas’ 38th birthday. There was some discussion of potentially continuing that trend, at least until he turned 40, though that appears to have stopped.

Roman Candle is also returning. The 9 x 50 cigar debuted in 2012 and was released again in 2014. The boxes appear to be quite similar to the original, 15-count featuring “FIREWORKS” on the top, though the company has not provided any additional details.

The original version was a Nicaraguan puro made at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.

A Viaje spokesperson did not immediately respond to an email seeking more details.
