Vector has begun shipping two lighters today, the new Guardian and the revamped Sonicpump.
The Vector Guardian is one of a number of new lighters to offer both a soft flame and a jet torch, and in the case of the Guardian, it depends on which ignition you use. The lighter offers two ignition mechanisms, one of which results in a single flame jet torch, while the other provides a soft flame. The company says that the Guardian will work at elevations up to 14,000 feet and offers a fuel window on its back side.
The Guardian measures 2.81 x 1.7 x .62 inches and is offered in six colors: gunmetal stain, copper satin, metallic black, metallic blue, grey crackly matte, and red lacquer. Pricing is set at $45.
The Sonicpump, a tabletop lighter with a large single flame, is getting a new version after its internals were reworked and improved. The Sonicpump was first released in 2017 as a sister product to the company’s Quadpump table lighter, notably offering a large single flame torch as opposed to the four smaller flames of the Quadpump.
The Sonicpump is recognizable by its unique-looking metal body that has three prominent cylindrical shapes: the large body of the lighter, another one that runs parallel that serves as the handle, and a third that runs perpendicular and houses the flame mechanism.
For the update, the company has reworked the flame so that it is larger and wider, which it says helps create a more even flame. The Sonicpump comes with a removable metal plate on the bottom that offers three sizes of punch cutter as well as a draw poker.
The Sonicpump is offered in six colors: copper satin, dark gray crackle matte, metallic black matte, metallic blue matte, gunmetal satin, and rose gold polished, all of which have an MSRP of $200. The previous version of the Sonicpump will remain on the market with an MSRP of $150.
Both lighters are also available via the company’s website.
