Next month, United Cigars will release its newest line of cigars, called Garofalo La Famiglia.
The name is a reference to the Garofalo family, the owner of United Cigars and Two Guys Smoke Shop, a chain of retailers in New Hampshire. This is also the second time that Perdomo has made a Garofalo cigar for United, it has been making the Garofalo Legacy Series for more than a decade.
There are three different versions of the Garofalo La Famiglia. The Connecticut uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, the Garofalo La Famiglia Maduro uses a Nicaraguan madero wrapper, while the Sun Grown uses a Nicaraguan sun grown wrapper. Underneath is a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa. All of the tobacco used is described as aged for five years.
Each blend is offered in five sizes—Robusto (5 x 54), Epicure (6 x 54), Gordo (6 x 60), Torpedo (6 1/2 x 54) and Churchill (7 x 54). The MSRPs are set between $10-13 and the cigar are sold in boxes of 24.
“Making a special line of cigars for my close friend, David Garofalo, is an honor for the Perdomo family,” said Nick Perdomo, Jr., president and ceo of Perdomo, in a press release. “The original Garofalo Legacy Series has been a success over the last ten years, and we know the addition of the new Garofalo La Famiglia will continue to represent the Garofalo family’s passion and dedication to providing the finest premium hand-made cigars to cigar enthusiasts world-wide.”
United Cigars says the cigars will begin shipping to stores in January 2022.
