Opening Day is just around the corner and United Cigars has a new cigar that pays tribute to an iconic baseball stadium.

The Asylum Green Monstah is the first in United Cigars’ new Stadium Series line of cigars. As the name implies, its a tribute to the Boston Red Sox’s Fenway Park, referencing the stadium’s iconic left field wall.

It will be offered in two limited edition sizes that use an Ecuadorian candela wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua.

  • Asylum Green Monstah 6 x 60 — $8.88 (Box of 9, $79.92)
  • Asylum Green Monstah 7 x 70 — $9.99 (Box of 9, $89.91)

Both sizes are limited to 250 boxes of nine cigars. The nine is a reference to the nine innings that make up a professional baseball game assuming it does not go into extra innings or is called off due to weather.

While one side of the box displays a replica of the scoreboard found on the Green Monster, the other face is designed to mimic a home plate.

“The sounds at the ballpark have always been a part of my Spring,” said Oliver Nivaud, director of operations for United Cigars, in a press release. “Now we have an Asylum cigar to smoke for opening day. Fenway Park is my Holy Cathedral, but we have a few more stadiums in mind for this stadium series.”

The Green Monstah will begin shipping to stores on March 22.

United Cigars has its own brands and is also the U.S. distributor for Selected Tobacco and Jose Dominguez cigars. The company has also worked with a variety of other manufacturers to produce exclusive releases for it to distribute.
