Two New Sizes of Fosforo Connecticut Head to Stores

When the Fosforo Connecticut debuted in a single corona gorda size in April, it was known that there would be more vitolas later this year. Now, those two new sizes are shipping to stores.

Pospiech, Inc., which distributes the brand, has announced that it has begun shipping the Fosforo Connecticut Robusto and Toro to stores. In addition, the Fosforo Corona Gorda, which was released in limited quantities in April, is now offered as a regular production item.

• Fosforo Connecticut Robusto (5 x 52) — $7.95 (Bundle of 10, $79.50)
• Fosforo Connecticut Corona Gorda (5 3/4 x 46) — $8.95 (Bundle of 10, $89.50)
• Fosforo Connecticut Toro (6 x 54) — $9.95 (Bundle of 10, $99.50)

Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The line is produced at Garmendia Cigars, run by Jose Palacios, in Nicaragua. The Corona Gorda got a soft launch in April with just 2,400 bundles released.
