One of the most anticipated releases from Tatuaje is its Monster Series. With the modification of the sizes creating the Little Monsters, Pudgy Monsters and then the Skinny Monsters, the anticipation certainly bled over to these releases as well.
If you’re a fan of the lancero size—or in this case petit lancero—and a fan of the Monster Series, this is the release you were probably the most excited for. For the members of our team, our scores chose the Skinny Hyde as the best of the Skinny Monsters, coming in at spot number 25 on our list. The original size Hyde certainly scored well, but just missed being eligible for our top 25 for 2015. Reducing the ring gauge did the blend well though, enhancing the balanced, complex and unique profile.
While we might not all agree whether or not it’s our personal favorite from the Monster Series, we can certainly agree that it deserves a place of recognition for our 2016 awards. — Brian Burt.
