Yesterday, T.L. Johnson and Tarazona Cigars finalized an agreement that covers both distribution and production.

Under the new distribution agreement, Tarazona Cigars, which is based in Florida, will distribute both companies’ products east of the Mississippi. T.L. Johnson, which is based in Wellington, Colo., will handle distribution for the western U.S.

In addition, Tarazona Cigars has agreed to produce cigars at T.L. Johnson’s Tabacalera TLJ in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. According to a press release, production of these new cigars will begin next month.

Earlier this year, T.L. Johnson announced that it was ending a distribution and farming relationship with The Cuban Tradition Cigar Group (La Tradicion Cubana) and establishing its own Dominican factory.
