Scandinavian Tobacco Group has announced that it has restructured its Canadian division, integrating STG Canada into its U.S. Operations.

Gene Richter, vp of sales for STG North America, will now oversee the Canadian sales team. Richter’s responsibilities also include General Cigar Co, Forged Cigar Co. and STG Lane.

Cole Patton will oversee both the U.S. and Canadian mass-market businesses under his new role of national sales manager, North American Mass Market Strategic Accounts. Mike Restivo, national sales manager of regional accounts for STG Lane, and Jennifer Goodwin, national sales manager south/west STG Lane, will both report to Patton.

Marc Rheaume, vp of sales for STG Canada, has left the company.

“We brought these two business units together to deliver untapped growth opportunities,” said Régis Broersma, president and SVP of STG’s North America Branded & Rest of World division, in a press release. “Under the new structure, we will work together to capture increased market share, while demonstrating an ongoing commitment to building both our Canadian and US businesses.”

These changes are effective Nov. 15.
