Vlada Stojanov’s Somm brand is shipping two new sizes of its BDX to stores this week.

The BDX Toro (6 x 52, $14) and BDX Box Pressed Gordo (6 x 60, $15) are beginning to head to stores this week. Like the original Somm BDX Robusto, the cigars use a three-year-old Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a three-year-old binder from Jalapa, Nicaragua. Both of those tobaccos are also used for the filler, joined by two-year-old Honduran broadleaf. These cigars were rolled at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. in Honduras in December 2022.

Stojanov told halfwheel that there are 400 boxes of the Toro and Box Pressed Gordo shipping to stores. In addition, there are 250 more boxes of the Robusto that are also now available.

He added that future releases would depend on the availability of Honduran broadleaf but that there are no more BDX shipments scheduled for this year.
