At this week’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Serafin de Cuba will show off its version of Juan De Fuca.

Juan de Fuca, the person, was a Greek explorer who sailed for King Philip II of Spain in the late 16th century. The cigar brand was originally produced by the Morgan Cigar Factory in Tampa, though that company went defunct and the trademark was eventually acquired by the Cullman family when the family still owned General Cigar Co. Eventually, the trademark expired, and last year, Arnold Serafin applied for the defunct trademark.

Serafin’s Juan De Fuca cigar is being made in Nicaragua using a Cameroon wrapper—a first for the company—over a Dominican binder and fillers in Nicaragua. It’s being offered in a single 6 x 52 toro size that is priced at $12 per cigar and sold in boxes of 20.

The new Juan De Fuca will be shown off at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place March 23-25 in Las Vegas, and will begin shipping to stores later this month.
