Scrim by HutcH Adding Thor’s Hammer Cutter at PCA 2022

Scrim By HutcH Studio has begun to preview its new releases for 2022, one of which will pay tribute to a famous Norse god and his legendary hammer.

Thor’s Hammer is a custom version of the ubiquitous XIKAR Xi cutter, but with custom handles crafted from buffalo horn. Each cutter is made by hand and features images of both Thor’s hammer and a dragon. This is considered reverse scrimshaw in that the scrimshaw is done on a darker material as opposed to lighter material.

Each cutter will have an MSRP of $500 and is limited to 200 units. That price includes both the cutter as well as a hand-sewn black leather pouch.

Scrim By HutcH Studio will begin taking orders before the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade show, though Thor’s Hammer will make its formal debut at the trade show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.
