Coles of London, S.T Dupont’s American distributor, has begun shipping the new Gradient Line 2 Collection.

It consists of six items—two Ligne 2 lighters and four Ligne D pens—each offered with a gradient lacquer. There’s a starburst color scheme called La Flamme—French for the fire—and an icy design known as La Mer, French for the sea.

  • S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 La Flamme — $1,695
  • S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 La Mer — $1,495
  • S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 La Flamme — $775 (Rollerball) / $975 (Fountain)
  • S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 La Mer — $775 (Rollerball) / $975 (Fountain)

The Ligne 2 is S.T. Dupont’s signature lighter, a double soft flame lighter that is activated using a roller wheel. This model is known for its signature pinging sound that the lighter makes when the lid is flicked open before using. Like other Ligne 2 lighters, the body is made of solid brass, while the La Flamme gets PVD black finishes and the Le Mer uses palladium. The Line D pens are offered in either rollerball or fountain, with three different sizes of 14k nibs offered.

S.T. Dupont says that each item has up to nine layers of lacquer applied to create the new colorways.

This is a Coles of London exclusive, meaning it will only be officially sold in the U.S.
