The newest non-Cuban Romeo y Julieta will arrive next month.

That cigar is the Romeo y Julieta Eternal, and it’s a 6 x 54 toro that is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Plasencia family, including tobaccos from Condega, Estelí, Jalapa and Ometepe. The wrapper has undergone 26 months of aging, according to a press release from Altadis U.S.A.

Each box will contain 11 cigars, each priced at $15 and with one of them wearing a gold band instead of the black band found on the other 10. The Romeo y Julieta Eternal is produced at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua and will be a limited edition, though the company has not disclosed production numbers.

It is scheduled to begin shipping on Jan. 25.

Update (Dec. 14, 2020) — The company issued a press release about the cigar today, which included images that have been added to the story. The announcement of the cigar was originally made via Cigar Aficionado.
