Last Thursday, Federal Cigar hosted the launch event for the new Rocky Patel Emerald.

Emerald is a new line from the company that is on its way stores accross the country. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over binders from Mexico and Nicaragua and fillers from Nicaragua. It is produced at the company’s Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

It’s offered in three vitolas:

  • Rocky Patel Emerald Robusto (5 1/2 x 50) — $11.75 (Box of 20, $235)
  • Rocky Patel Emerald Toro (6 1/4 x 54) — $12.75 (Box of 20, $255)
  • Rocky Patel Emerald Sixty (6 x 60) — $13.75 (Box of 20, $275)

This blend is completely different than the Rocky Patel ITC Emerald, a candela cigar made for catalog retailers.

The company took orders for Emerald during the Traveling Road Show, a 16-stop selling tour that the company hosted alongside Altadis U.S.A., CLE and Oliva.
