Robert P. Duran Cigars is adding a new, smaller size to its Signature Line while offering some new packaging options for its Azan Burgundy and Signature lines.
Known as the Puntica, the new size is a smaller version of the existing 6 x 54 La Punta in the Roberto P. Duran Premium Signature Line. It measures 4 3/8 x 46 and is being offered in three-count soft packs with a price of $18 per pack. It uses the same blend as the rest of the line, with a Ecuadorian criollo grown on the company’s Fincas Azan farm, with binder and filler both coming from Nicaragua. It is being produced at the company’s NicaTobac factory in Estelí with shipping expected to begin in June.
The company is also rolling out some new packaging options for its Azan Burgundy line and Signature Line that have begun shipping. The Azan Burgundy Chicos (4 1/4 x 38) is now being offered in five-count soft packs for $9.80, while the 4 3/8 x 46 Short Campana vitola is being offered in three-count soft packs priced at $11.80. Both new formats come in 10-pack boats, and both sizes will retain their existing packaging options, a 50-count box for the Chicos and a 20-count box for the Short Campana.
The Roberto P. Duran Premium Signature Rio Toa, a 5 x 52 robusto, is also getting a three-count soft pack option that will come in ten-count boat.
