Rebellion Cigars is adding a new Serial Killer Collection, an annual release that will ship around Halloween. The first cigar in the series will be a cigar inspired by Sweeney Todd.

Update (April 3, 2024) — In March, the company clarified that the cigar will be known as “Demon Barber.” Previously, it was going to be called “Sweeney Todd.”

Given that Sweeney Todd, a fictional character from “The String of Pearls,” was the demon barber from Fleet Street, the cigar will be a 6 x 52 toro with a barberpole wrapper, meaning it uses two different wrappers that are applied in a way that they produce contrasting stripes like a barber’s pole. Those two wrappers will be Mexican San Andrés and Connecticut-seed tobaccos. Underneath is an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras and the Condega and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua.

The MSRP is set at $12.50 per cigar. Rebellion has not finalized production numbers, but it says they will be limited.

While the cigars will debut at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place March 24-25 in Las Vegas, they are not expected to ship until September.

Seven Cigars in Danlí, Honduras produces all of Rebellion Cigars’ lines.
